Reggie Bush

The NFL is wrapping up the second week of football and in this second week I was able to crush my opponent and pull out my first win of the season. This is my first time ever doing a fantasy league. I can say its probably easiest to start with football because of the schedule. I joined Mr. Fantasy and Big Jack’s Yahoo league. It is free to join and it has a companion app for droid or apple. I’m an apple guy So you know I have the app on my iPad and iPhone. It definitely makes it easier than running to check everything on the pc(no Mac yet). I also downloaded Bleacher Report and Rotowire.
My first week was a bust but I was able to come back strong in the second week and not even give my opponent a chance. This fantasy thing is very similar to gambling I would say, it’s all about luck and timing. This week I had a couple guys get hurt and I was able to fill those positions and gain huge points like my TE from the Jets Dustin Kellar was out and I was able to replace by thursday or so with SD’s Dante Rosario. I took a chance on him because he was questionable but it worked out with him scoring 3td’s and giving me 26.55 points. Now I lost on WAS Pierre Garçon and the three WRs I had barely scored 15 points combined but Good ole Reggie Bush was the man Sunday scoring me over 40 points. I felt that when I chose him, he was on a New team, The Heismann trophy situation was over along with the Kardishian BS. Hopefully he continues to score like he did this Sunday.
When I first heard of fantasy I just thought there was way to much time involved to do it or it would be to complicated but with modern technology and the NFL having really one day of games, it’s pretty easy and it makes that other game after the Bears game more exciting along with the national game. Depending on how well I do this year, maybe I’ll do a money league but then again I don’t want to push my luck. Until next week or whenever I decide to blog again.

Normally Big Jackand I talk about sports, so this may be a little off topic but still in the realm of sports. I do not like SnapBacks since I was a little kid playing little league. I wanted to wear the hat that Shawon Dunston or Rickey Henderson wore on the field. I am not too sure if they sold them when I was younger and I know SnapBacks have the advantage of being adjustable, so you don’t have to worry about shrinkage or or your head getting bigger. I didn’t care about that I wanted a fitted hat.

As far back as I can remember I have always loved wearing hats, so finding the right hat has always been a big deal. When I was in little league they gave you those lame Park District hats, so I convinced my parents to buy me the hat of the team I was on. It irritated coaches and other parents but I didn’t listen. I cannot say when but I was about 17 or so when I bought my first fitted hat and being a huge baseball fan, of course it was the Cubs, so I picked up and wore it for most of the season and tossed it because it shrank. It took a little while to find the right hat that fit my head and I landed on the New Era 5950. One of the first ones I bought that I really liked was this criss crossed logo had a Yankees and the Dodgers and of course my Cubs. The Yankees one for some reason or another shrunk over time along with the Cubs hat, but not the LA hat. It seemed that when I bought these hats. I was buying a new one every other year because of shrinkage and I do have a big head. And that got annoying plus the fact they only seemed to make MLB hats, so when it was time for football season, I was stuck buying the Reebok L/XL and the fitted hats just didn’t fit the same and with time took on an odd shape and shrunk. The 2011 NFL sideline caps looked so cool and I was excited when I had my very own, but of course that L/XL I told you about was just a little to tight on my huge head. Needless to say I was vey excited to see that New Era is the official sideline hat of the 2012 season but they had three different hats to choose. Too many choices! Eventually I’ll have them all. Even when I busted out my authentic Jordan, I was able to pick up a NBA New Era 5950 Chicago Bulls hat to match. Now I know I mention shrinkage, but the on-field caps protect against shrinkage. I’m not sure but I think they are using more of that technology in all their fitted hats. I purchase a Cubs 1984 logo hat 2 seasons ago and it still fits like a glove! I also have a SF Giants 2010 World Series fitted that still fits like new.

Did they pay to blog about them? No. I wish they did. On Air Mr Fantasy said a hats a hat to him but to me it’s more than a hat. It s apart of who I am, I love wearing fitted hats and I won’t stop until I’m gone. Since I’ve bought my first one the price has definitely has gone up but for the price You get great quality and for someone like myself who keeps them forever, the price is just right. Now all I need to do is learn how to clean them better.
