Stew came to know The Big Jack through his wrestling hotline. Later meeting at a pro wrestling event. After the Big Jack, dominated the likes of Mr Fantasy and Dan the Man, he was having a beer at the bar. Stew sat down, bought the champ a drink to congratulate him on another successful victory. They began talking “Old School” wrestling, then the Cubs, Bears, all teams, all sports.

Stew’s biggest claim to fame comes to us from 1964. Bobby Fisher was on tour taking on all challengers at once. In the old Edgewater Beach Hotel, Fisher went board to board taking on challengers. The first 40 or so games, he won quickly. Stew used a McCutcheon style French Defense that lead Fisher to say only one word to Stew, “Draw.”

Every season on the guys make their predictions for the MLB & NFL. In 2014, Stew predicted each of the National Leagues division winners along with the Pirates winning the first Wild Card spot. He was also dead on picking the AL Centrals standings from top to bottom.
