There’s Jennifer’s All-Time Phillies team. Is there anybody missing? Or anyone on the team that you don’t think should be?

  1. Del Ennis might have been considered as a reserve.

John never mentioned that there will be no 1800s players, so I am mentioning it now. Billy Hamilton and Ed Delahanty were studs of the 1890s and if I did include 1800s players, they would definitely be on the Phillies. The Phillies are not the only team to suffer from this. The Braves had Kid Nichols, the Cubs had Cap Anson and there are plenty more examples. The 1800s were a very topsy turvy time for pro baseball. Teams would come and go. Teams like the Buffalo Bisons, Louisville Colonels, and the Cleveland Spiders left their mark, but only survived a few years. I decided not to include them, so no Cy Young. Sorry.
