This is Jennifer’s All-Time Minnesota Twins/Washington Senators team. Just for reference the team played in Washington from 1901-1960 before moving to Minnesota. Give us your All-time lineup for the Twins/Senators and see how it compares.
Why did I allow Rod Carew to start at 2B, instead of the position he played the most?
When setting this up, I wanted difficult restrictions on where they should be allowed to start. For example. Cesar Tovar can play several positions. He’s a good utility player to have around to have in a pinch. His main spot is CF, however, and that is all he could play full time. When players have played alot at multiple positions, they should be able to play those other positions as well. What is considered alot? The general rule is 1000 games. Rod Carew played 1183 games at 1st while playing 1130 at 2nd. He should be able to be allowed to both positions full time. The same applies to players listed as outfielders and then I find out their main position was something Else. For example, Stan Musial is listed as an Outfeilder and 1st Baseman. While he played over 2000 games at LF, RF and CF, he played more games at 1st than any of those positions mentioned above. In his case, he gets to play LF( the OF position he played the most )as well as 1st base full time.
As in the case of the others, it would be based on the percentage of games he played at that position to determine how many games he could play. It is very similar to the game Pursue the Pennant that I played.
