The Red-Sox havw no speed. Many of the players seem so similar to each other. I just lined them up. David Ortiz playing 1st?? Well, he has played it before. Both Ted Williams and Carl Yastrzemski play LF. I needed both of them playing, so Williams went to DH. Dennis Eckersley on the Red Sox?? That is where the flaw of WAR steps in again. A starting pitcher earns WAR much quicker than a relief. Eckersley earned more WAR as a decent starter for the Red Sox than he did as a superb closer as an Athletic. I’m too stubbornly rigid in my system to fix it even though I know I should.
