Tomorrow is one of my favorite days of the year as it’s the opening of the Major League Baseball season. Like I’ve done for the past few years I am going to throw out some predictions that are sure to be way, way off.
In the American League East, I have it going like this:
1) Toronto Blue Jays
2) Tampa Bay Rays
3) New York Yankees
4) Baltimore Orioles
5) Boston Red Sox
In the American League Central I have it like this:
1) Chicago White Sox
2) Minnesota Twins
3) Cleveland Guardians
4) Detroit Tigers
5) Kansas City Royals
In the American League West, I have it like this:
1)Houston Astros
2) Los Angeles Angels
3)Seattle Mariners
4)Texas Rangers
5)Oakland A’s
My three wild card teams are the Rays, Yankees & Angels.
I have Houston winning the American League pennant.
In the National League East, I have it like this:
1)Atlanta Braves
2) New York Mets
3)Philadelphia Phillies
4)Miami Marlins
5)Washington Nationals
In the National League Central I have it going like this:
1)St. Louis Cardinals
2)Milwaukee Brewers
3)Chicago Cubs
4)Cincinnati Reds
5)Pittsburgh Pirates
In the National League West, I have it going like this:
1)San Diego Padres
2)Los Angeles Dodgers
3)San Francisco Giants
4)Arizona Diamondbacks
5)Colorado Rockies
My National League wild card teams are the Mets, Dodgers & Giants.
I have the Mets winning the National League pennant.
In the World Series I have the Astros beating the Mets in 6 games.
As for individual awards.
AL MVP: Mike Trout (Angels)
NL MVP: Matt Olson (Braves)
AL Cy Young: Alex Manoah (Blue Jays)
NL Cy Young: Julio Urias (Dodgers)
AL Rookie of the Year: Gunnar Henderson (Orioles)
NL Rookie of the Year: Corbin Carroll (Diamondbacks)
AL Manager of the Year: Pedro Grifol (White Sox)
NL Manager of the Year: Gabe Kapler (Giants)
AL Comeback Player of the Year: Chris Sale (Red Sox)
NL Comeback Player of the Year: Ronald Acuna (Braves)

You’ve made some solid picks but I’m still sticking with Cleveland to repeat in the AL Central and New York to repeat in the AL East. Despite the Altuve injury, Houston is a good choice to repeat as champions although that’s very difficult to do in today’s modern baseball era.
